Aims and Scope

Risalat Journal for Humanities and Social Research aims to achieve the following:

• Highlighting the contributions of specialists in the diverse fields of the humanities and social sciences and shedding light on their central issues and problems.

• Serving as an intellectual platform for Arab thinkers and researchers in the humanities and social sciences, across their various disciplines and diverse areas of interest.

• Publishing original and innovative scholarly research in the various fields of the humanities and social sciences that contributes to the body of knowledge in these disciplines.

• Monitoring, presenting, and reviewing new literature and scholarly output in the various fields of the humanities and social sciences.

• Holding scholarly seminars to address concepts and phenomena that are central to the humanities and social sciences or that intersect with them, particularly pressing intellectual and theoretical issues.

Risalat Journal for Humanities and Social Research publishes scholarly research that explores, from an innovative and analytical perspective, a wide range of topics in the fields of Arabic literature, foreign languages ​​and literature, comparative literature, linguistics, philosophy, the history of theory and practice, contemporary culture, media studies, as well as emerging disciplines in the humanities and all social sciences. As an academic publication primarily in Arabic, the journal aims to develop new methodological and theoretical approaches to Arabic literary, philosophical, and historical texts, as well as to cultural production in general.

In addition to Arabic, the journal publishes research written in English and French. Furthermore, it publishes English abstracts of all published research.

Each issue comprises peer-reviewed articles and several book reviews. Occasionally, the journal features a forum for researchers on a specific topic related to the humanities and issues of regional and Arab interest.
