Abstract

The researcher discusses the space for awakening social consciousness through the novel as a textual approach that addresses social thought and engages with reception. This approach stems from the premise that the narrative structure establishes social concepts while simultaneously discussing others. The researcher has chosen and documented this perspective, imbuing it with the duality of influence and being influenced within a significant cultural context: the novelistic output of Dhi Qar Governorate. Through a sociological methodology, the researcher moves from text to reality, exploring the intersection between history and ideology, drawing upon Marxist literary criticism and the theories of Lukács and Lucien Goldmann.

The researcher has structured this approach into a three-chapter methodology with an introduction. In the introduction, he discusses some of the fundamental concepts underpinning the research, such as sociology as a developing social concept, sometimes referred to as sociology itself, meaning the scientific study of society.
