Peer Review Process
Peer Review
1. Submitted research and studies are published after peer review by specialists with extensive research experience and distinguished academic standing, who approve their publication.
2. The journal maintains a list of accredited peer reviewers in the journal's disciplines, and this list is continuously updated.
3. Reviewers are required to provide their written opinion on the research based on specific criteria, indicating its suitability for publication, whether it should be published after major or minor revisions, and refraining from personal criticism of the researcher. These criteria include, for example:
- Originality of the research and its scientific contribution to the field.
- Research methodology.
- Sources and footnotes.
- Soundness of structure, language, and conclusions.
4. The journal adopts a policy of double anonymity for both researchers and reviewers. This means that the identity of each party remains concealed from the other throughout all stages of the peer review process. Please ensure that nothing in the text, acknowledgments, footnotes, or appendices reveals the identity of the researchers. Confidentiality is maintained throughout the peer review process.
5. The journal employs at least two expert reviewers in the same field of study for each research paper. The reviewer's academic qualifications must be at least equal to those of the researcher (in the case of a single author) or any of the researchers (in the case of multiple authors). Furthermore, the reviewers must not have any conflict of interest whatsoever with the researchers or the research papers under review.
6. If the researcher or one of the researchers is from within the Sultanate of Oman, it is preferable that the reviewers be from outside the Sultanate. The editor-in-chief reserves the right to determine whether certain research papers require review within the Sultanate.
